BITHOOR SHAKTI is an initiative of Digital India Corporation for Skill-Enhancement & Health Awareness through Knowledge Transformation using ICTs for Women Empowerment in Bithoor Cluster of Kanpur.The overall objective of this project is to enhance the skills, productivity & livelihood of the identified women artisans of Bithoor Cluster of Kanpur engaged in Zari, Zardozi work using Information & Communication Technology (ICT) based solutions.
Also the project aims to empower the adolescent girls and women in and around Bithoor by providing awareness and counseling on issues w.r.t Health & Hygiene, Education, Career, Social Security etc.
The objective of the project is:
To enhance the Embroidery Skills & Productivity of Women Self Help Groups (WSHGs) through CHIC-CAD application.
To Create Women Entrepreneurs / Leaders by Enabling Online & Offline End to End Solutions for Livelihood Enhancement.
To Establish Financial & Marketing Linkages to WSGHs / Entrepreneurs for Creating CHIC-CAD Based Enterprises for Sustainable Income Generation.
To Provide Interactive Platform for Adolescent Girls& Women for Creating Awareness & Providing Guidance on Relevant Issues w.r.t. Health & Hygiene, Education, Career, Social Security etc.

The project ‘Bithoor Shakti’ is funded by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India under its Scheme namely ‘IT for Massess’ to Digital India Corporation.
The implementing partner of the project is ADHAR, one of the pioneers in the formation of Self-Help Groups (SHG) in India, having formed 550 SHGs in rural and urban slums of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh since 2000
