
IndiaHandmade- Gateway to Indian Heritage developed by the Digital India Corporation under the guidance of Ministry of Textiles, has been awarded the ‘Gems of Digital India Award 2024 (Analysts Choice)’ at an event organized by the Coeus Age Group in Delhi.
Joining the prestigious list of awardees with IndiaHandmade, DIC developed nutritional service app for the Anganwadi workers – Poshan Tracker also bagged the Gems of Digital India Award 2024 (Analysts Choice). The Ministry of Women and Child Development rolls out Poshan Tracker.
The Gems of Digital India award is well known in the Government, Public and Cooperative Sectors and has entered its 5th Season in 2024. It is supported by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
About IndiaHandmade: It’s an initiative of the Ministry of Textiles to showcase the work of rural Artisans & Weavers. The main motive behind this online e-commerce portal is to showcase some of the world’s oldest and most traditional crafts of India. It aims to provide a platform for Handloom Weavers in India and Handicraft Artisans to sell their handloom and handicraft items online in India, paving the way for their financial and social empowerment. This helps in promoting the Artisans & Weavers skills while eliminating the intermediaries.
About Poshan Tracker: The ‘Poshan Tracker’ is a mobile-based application rolled out by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India on 1st March 2021 through National e-Governance Division (NeGD). Poshan Tracker is an important governance tool. Technology under Poshan Tracker is being leveraged for dynamic identification of stunting, wasting, under-weight prevalence among children and last mile tracking of nutrition service delivery.
