BITHOOR SHAKTI was an initiative of Digital India Corporation for Skill-Enhancement & Health Awareness through Knowledge Transformation using ICTs for Women Empowerment in Bithoor Cluster of Kanpur. The overall objective of this project was to enhance the skills, productivity and livelihood of the identified women artisans of Bithoor Cluster of Kanpur engaged in Zari, Zardozi work using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) based solutions.
Major Activities :
• 1000+ women artisans / girls were trained on Chic™ CAD for creation of digital embroidery designing & khaka making
• Digital design library with 4000+ designs created on Chic™ CAD by Artisans / women
• 300 women artisans were trained on advanced design and Enterprise Development Program
• 120+ innovative, marketable prototypes and 04 Design Catalogues with 200 fine pictures of products / designs were developed
• 1500+ women and 1900+ adolescent girls were benefitted through health awareness programs
