Digital India Corporation/BHASHINI is currently inviting application for the position of Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager/ Manager Technical Solutions – Data Engineer purely on contract/consolidated basis.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support AI/ML and analytics use cases.
2. Develop and manage ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, clean, transform, and prepare structured and unstructured data.
3. Work closely with data scientists and ML teams to deliver model-ready datasets for AI/ML and NLP applications.
4. Architect and manage data storage solutions including SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
5. Utilize open-source big data frameworks such as Apache Spark, etc; Databricks experience is a strong plus.
6. Handle large-scale datasets, including text and image data, and implement real-time or near real-time data processing using Python and cloud-based data tools.
7. Integrate data pipelines with APIs and downstream systems for seamless data exchange.
8. Support client/user onboarding and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data processes and solution delivery.
9. Provide technical support during customer/user onboarding and assist with integration-related queries.
10. Work closely with internal teams to identify gaps, improve processes, and enhance solution delivery.
11. Deliver exceptional customer service by leveraging strong communication and analytical skills in a client-facing role.
12. Analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach to complex challenges. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
13. Be flexible and available to travel as and when required to meet business needs.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) under the Digital India Program has undertaken a unique initiative, BHASHINI, the National Language Translation Mission. Mission BHASHINI was launched by Hon’ble PM on 4th July 2022 during Digital India Week 2022 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The DIBD is managing and executing the activities of “National Language Translation Mission”: BHASHINI. BHASHINI (https://www.BHASHINI.gov.in) has been developed as a platform where various components have been integrated to bring stakeholders together. BHASHINI works with some of the premier academic institutes, including IITs and IIITs) in India. These institutes are developing state of the art language AI models for various Indian languages. BHASHINI platform already hosts 300+ AI based language models in various technologies.
