NeGD is currently inviting applications for the position of AI/ML Engineer on a contractual basis for a period of three years, which may be further extended based on the requirements of the project.

Responsibilities

• Build and validate ML model prototypes for recommendation (courses/jobs), semantic search, skill demand forecasting, and GenAI assistance
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for ML feature engineering in coordination with the Data Engineer
• Implement MLOps practices — model versioning, experiment tracking, deployment pipelines, and monitoring
• Integrate AI/ML APIs and LLM-based services into the SIDH platform with appropriate latency and observability controls
• Review vendor AI deliverables against NEGD standards for bias, explainability, and production readiness

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/ Departments, both at the Central and State levels.
