MyGov is currently inviting applications for the position of Android Developer on a contractual basis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend teams, and stakeholders to design, develop, enhance, and maintain MyGov mobile applications and digital engagement platforms
• Lead the modernization and upgrade of existing Android applications, ensuring compatibility with the latest Android versions, SDKs, security standards, and industry best practices
• Design and develop scalable, high-performance mobile applications using modern technologies such as Kotlin, Java, React Native, Flutter, or other emerging mobile frameworks as per project requirements
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate mobile technologies, frameworks, architectures, and development approaches to improve application performance, maintainability, and user experience
• Develop clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code following secure coding standards and industry best practices
• Integrate applications with RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, authentication systems, analytics platforms, push notification services, and third-party integrations
• Collaborate closely with backend and DevOps teams to ensure seamless communication between mobile applications and server-side services
• Implement robust mobile application security controls, including secure authentication, encryption, secure storage, and vulnerability mitigation measures
• Optimize application performance, responsiveness, accessibility, battery consumption, and network efficiency across a wide range of devices
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application issues, crashes, bottlenecks, and user reported problems in a timely manner
• Implement automated testing, unit testing, UI testing, and CI/CD pipelines to improve application quality and deployment efficiency
• Ensure compliance with Google Play Store policies, security requirements, and publication guidelines, including app release management and version control
• Monitor application health using analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring tools, and proactively recommend improvements
• Stay updated with emerging mobile technologies, AI-enabled mobile experiences, and industry trends, and contribute to innovation initiatives within MyGov
