NeGD is currently inviting applications for the following positions purely on Contract basis initially for a period of 2 year which is further extendable as per the requirement of the project.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Model Evaluation: Implement strategies for continuous evaluation, monitoring, and tuning of models to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Data Pipeline Design: Build robust data pipelines for preprocessing and integrating structured and unstructured data sources into the platform.
• Data Retrieval & Augmentation: Develop and optimize the retrieval mechanisms that provide relevant context for the generative models.
• Fine-tuning & Customization: Fine-tune existing generative models to improve performance for specific business use cases.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with data engineers, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of machine learning models into production environments.
• Performance Optimization: Implement and experiment with various techniques such as vector search, semantic search, and knowledge distillation to enhance the platform’s efficiency and accuracy.
• Data Quality: Ensure data quality and consistency throughout the data pipeline, implementing necessary quality checks and validation processes.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on state-of-the-art AI research, particularly in RAG, and Generative AI, and apply relevant advancements to improve the platform.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years of experience in machine learning or data science roles

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/ Departments, both at the Central and State levels.
