Responsibilities
- Coordinate mandatory onboarding of all Central Ministries and Departments onto DigiLocker (personal documents) and Entity Locker (business documents) with standard metadata
- Manage the mandatory API publication programme on API Setu – ensuring all government documents are available in machine-readable formats through standardised APIs
- Support States in evaluating, selecting, and deploying State Data Exchange Platforms (building on models like TGDex, ADeX, MahaAgX) or integrating with the National Data Exchange Platform
- Coordinate with AI Kosh team to enable AI-ready data curation and federated learning capabilities
- Oversee technical upgradation of AI Kosh, NDAP, IUDX, Open Data, and BharatX platforms to mature capabilities including data anonymisation, data marketplace, and auditable data trails
- Liaise with NeGD and NIC for technical support and maintenance of national-level data exchange platforms
- Support the licensing framework for Private Data Exchange Platforms through CCA, MeitY – ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and interoperability requirements
- Track platform-level exceptions reported by Ministries and ensure justification is documented and reviewed
- Prepare platform-wise onboarding status dashboards and report to the Team Lead and NDGC

About National e-Governance Division (NeGD)
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/ Departments, both at the Central and State levels.
NeGD has been spearheading several innovative initiatives under the aegis of the Digital India Programme. Those have been developed keeping the vision areas of Digital India at the core- providing digital infrastructure as a core utility to every citizen, governance and services on demand and in particular, digital empowerment of the citizens of our country; some of these initiatives include DigiLocker, UMANG, Poshan Tracker, OpenForge Platform, API Setu, National Academic Depository, Academic Bank of Credits, Learning Management System.
