NeGD is currently inviting applications for the position of Frontend Developer (Angular) on a contractual basis for a period of three years.

Responsibilities

• Strong experience in Angular (Angular 8+ preferred) and related frontend technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, RxJS, and Angular Material
• Good understanding of Node.js ecosystem, npm, package management, and build tools
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and system design principles
• Experience with RESTful APIs, HTTP communication, and frontend-backend integration
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, UI rendering issues, and application bugs to improve user experience and application reliability
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, scalable, and well-documented code following Angular best practices
• Experience with state management, lazy loading, route guards, dependency injection, and modular application architecture
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend developers, and QA teams to design and deliver new features and enhancements
• Understanding of web application security principles, browser compatibility issues, and frontend performance optimization techniques
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and cloud-hosted environments
• Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility standards, Progressive Web Apps (PWA), and modern frontend development trends
• Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies, Angular ecosystem updates, and industry best practices
• Knowledge of code versioning tools (such as Git, Mercurial or SVN)

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/ Departments, both at the Central and State levels.
