NeGD is currently inviting applications for the position of Frontend Developer (React) on a contractual basis for a period of three years.

Responsibilities

  • Experience on React.js and related frameworks or AngularJS and knowledge of Node.js Stack
  • Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design
  • Database administration and management of a hosting environment
  • Unit testing with Karma/Mocha/Jest/ other popular libraries, etc.
  • Version control with Git
  • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle: concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support
  • Diagnose performance issues, fix bugs (including crashes and ANRs) to increase the functionality of the application
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code
  • Experience in android application development with Android SDK/ APIs/ Frameworks, Java and Eclipse
  • Collaborate with team members (product managers, developers, designers) to brainstorm about new features and functionalities
  • Hands on experience in using RESTful APIs
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools (such as Git, Mercurial or SVN)

About National e-Governance Division (NeGD)

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/ Departments, both at the Central and State levels.

NeGD has been spearheading several innovative initiatives under the aegis of the Digital India Programme.
