NeGD is currently inviting applications for the position of Full Stack Developer (AI & Web Applications) on a contractual basis for a period of three years, which may be further extended based on the requirements of the project.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend and frontend components for AI-based web applications using Python, Node.js, and React.js
• Design, build, and integrate secure RESTful APIs using Python and Node.js to support application functionality and third-party integrations
• Build intelligent tools and AI-driven workflows by integrating frameworks such as Langchain and the Vercel AI SDK, including function calling, streaming outputs, and LLM orchestration
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra, ensuring optimized queries, scalable data access, and reliable performance
• Implement application security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and secure handling of API endpoints and sensitive data
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles and write clean, maintainable, production-ready code with adequate test coverage
• Manage the codebase using Git, follow branching and review workflows, and participate actively in code reviews
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, leveraging cloud-native services for scalability and reliability
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Follow Agile/Scrum practices and actively contribute to sprint planning, stand-ups, and team discussions
• Mentor junior developers, share knowledge within the team, and contribute to other NeGD projects as assigned

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/ Departments, both at the Central and State levels.
