NeGD is currently inviting applications for the position of Full-Stack Engineer on a contractual basis for a period of three years, which may be further extended based on the requirements of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications and services that integrate AI capabilities from the AI capability pods into ministry-facing platforms and citizen services
  • Build and maintain integration layers, microservices, and API gateways connecting pod-delivered AI services to Digital India Programme platforms and other government systems
  • Develop backend services for orchestration, workflow management, session handling, and data transformation between pod services and consuming platforms
  • Implement responsive frontend components — dashboards, chatbot interfaces, review workflows, and monitoring consoles — consumed by government officers and citizens
  • Collaborate with the AI/Solution Architect and MLOps Engineer to embed pod-delivered APIs into production applications with appropriate error handling, retries, and observability
  • Implement authentication, authorisation, secrets management, and consent-capture flows compliant with MeitY security guidelines and DPDPA 2023
  • Contribute to code review, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines maintained by DevOps/SRE
  • Publish reusable frontend components and integration SDKs to AIKosh and OpenForge in line with the LoE’s open-source deposit obligations
  • Support UAT, defect resolution, production hardening, and post-launch operational stabilisation across ministry deployments

About National e-Governance Division (NeGD)

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/ Departments, both at the Central and State levels.

NeGD has been spearheading several innovative initiatives under the aegis of the Digital India Programme.
