IndiaAI is currently inviting applications for the position of  General Manager – Compute on a contractual basis.

Responsibilities

• Drive the implementation of the IndiaAI Compute Capacity pillar of the Mission. He will be responsible for developing project plans that outline the scope, objectives, resources, budget, and timeline. He will work with stakeholders to identify project requirements and establish a roadmap for successful execution of the project.
• Lead the conceptualization, design, architecture, and implementation of India’s largest and scalable AI ecosystem based on GPU computing, aiming to build a highly scalable AI compute cloud infrastructure on the Indian Sovereign Cloud.
• Finalize the PPP model for provisioning of the AI Compute Infrastructure. Drafting the RFP for implementation of the project by defining the Scope of the Private Partner for building the AI Compute ecosystem, as well as provisioning of AI Compute to stakeholders from existing service providers.
• Bid process management, Contract Management, and enforcement of SLAs.
• A key responsibility of the Project Lead will be to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. He would also need to address any issues or obstacles that arise during the project, making adjustments to the plan as needed to keep the project on track.
• Project Lead, Compute will be required to coordinates the project team, ensuring team members understand their roles and responsibilities. He will also facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders to maintain alignment and resolve any issues that may arise during the project.
• Oversee the development of a high-performance AI scalable computing ecosystem, involving GPUs, libraries, SDKs, GPU/accelerated computing memory, storage, and processing units.
• Collaborate with industry partners, research institutions, and academic organizations to benchmark and optimize ML/DL applications on various OEM GPUs.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI computing, software ecosystems, and related technologies, ensuring that India remains at the forefront of innovation.
