Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI and data science initiatives under the India AI Datasets Platform Pillar.
• Oversee the application of data science methodologies to address critical national challenges, collaborating with Central Ministries and State Departments to identify problem statements.
• Drive the creation and maintenance of large-scale datasets, ensuring that data quality and governance protocols are in place.
• Manage a team of data scientists and analysts, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
• Develop and implement data-driven models, including machine learning algorithms, predictive analytics, and statistical models, to support government decision-making.
• Ensure that data science projects are aligned with India AI’s broader goals and strategic vision.
• Lead the evaluation of AI/ML models, focusing on model accuracy, performance, and scalability.
• Liaise with key stakeholders, including government officials and private-sector partners, to promote the use of AI in policymaking and program delivery.
• Oversee the successful execution of multiple data science projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Present data insights and analysis to India AI leadership and government stakeholders to drive policy and operational decisions.
