Digital India Corporation is currently inviting applications for the position of GIS Expert purely on Contract/Consolidated basis for NHAI Datalake3.0 project.

Roles and Responsibilities of GIS Expert

  • Develop and implement the organization’s GIS strategy, in alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for GIS integration across departments and functions.
  • Define GIS standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Analyze spatial data to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
  • Develop and maintain spatial databases, datasets, and metadata.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and accuracy in GIS databases.
  • Design and develop GIS applications, tools, and workflows to meet business requirements.
  • Customize and configure GIS software platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) to address specific needs.
  • Integrate GIS functionality with other systems and applications.
  • Create geospatial models and simulations to support decision-making and planning.
  • Generate maps, reports, and visualizations to communicate spatial data findings.
  • Develop interactive web mapping applications for data dissemination and analysis.
  • Lead GIS projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and manage expectations.
  • Provide training and support to users of GIS technology within the organization.
  • Promote GIS awareness and build GIS capabilities across departments.
  • Stay updated on emerging GIS trends, technologies, and best practices.
