NeGD is currently inviting applications for the position of Laravel/PHP Web Developer on a contractual basis for a period of three years, which may be further extended based on the requirements of the project.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using the Laravel Framework and PHP
• Write clean, efficient, scalable, and well-documented code
• Design and maintain application architecture following MVC principles
• Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
• Implement new features and tools to improve operational efficiency and user experience
• Ensure application security, data protection, and database integrity
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to technical discussions
• Hands-on experience with Livewire
• Strong knowledge of SQL/MySQL, database design, and database migrations
• Proficiency in custom JavaScript and jQuery development
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Sound understanding of HTML and basic knowledge of CSS
• Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering high-quality code efficiently and within deadlines

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
