Duties & Responsibilities of Manager (Consultant) – Digital Economy

• To work on spectrum of aspects related to digital economy and policy research.
• Maintain records of the related policy in major economies and international organizations related to the various sectors under MeitY and its impact.
• Study and compilation of ongoing policy-related research, comments, conferences, etc related to the various sectors under MeitY.
• Study and research on various multilateral fora and technical issues on the digital economy such as data flows, data privacy & protection, emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, Blockchain, etc.
• Research on the impact of policy on subjects under MeitY on the economy, which may include evidence-based research and data analytics.
• Research on the feasibility of use of digital technologies in other sectors of economy and compilation of such uses across globe.
• Coordinating meetings and discussions on matters related to Digital Economy Division.
• Study and provide advice on various international policies, reports, laws, rules and regulations related to the various sectors under MeitY.
• Study of erstwhile policies, rules, laws and regulations by MeitY and impact assessment of same.
• Research on impact of policies/laws/rules/regulations under MeitY on economic growth and development in region and sector-specific and country in general.
• Coordination with related ministries/ departments/ industry associations/ research organizations and stakeholders in regard to matters under the ambit of Digital Economy Division.
• Any other activity required with respect to the above-outlined process.

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/Departments, both at the Central and State levels.
