About India AI :

Government of India has recently approved the IndiaAI Mission to democratize access to Al innovation pillars and ensure global competitiveness of India’s Al ecosystem. The IndiaAI Mission will establish a comprehensive ecosystem catalyzing AI innovation through strategic programs and partnerships across the public and private sectors. By democratizing computing access, improving data quality, developing indigenous AI capabilities, attracting top AI talent, enabling industry collaboration, providing startup risk capital, ensuring socially impactful AI projects and bolstering ethical AI, it will drive responsible, inclusive growth of India’s AI ecosystem.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess emerging AI trends and technologies, policies, and initiatives, mapping them to national strategic objectives.
  • Design policies that foster safe and trusted AI development, in alignment with AI priorities.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the Safe & Trusted AI initiative, setting clear objectives, performance metrics, and timelines to drive the program forward.
  • Ensure successful implementation of projects under the Safe and Trusted AI initiative of the IndiaAI Mission, ensuring they are executed on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Provide guidance on policy interventions to support the Datasets Platform initiative.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with external stakeholders including government agencies, state governments, the scientific community, and industry stakeholders to ensure successful collaboration and outcome delivery.
  • Contribute to preparing policy papers, briefings as well as communication material relating to AI technologies and policies.
  • Further India’s interests in Global Cooperation on AI, fostering collaboration and coordination among international and multilateral institutions, bodies, agencies, experts, and stakeholders
  • Represent IndiaAI team at national and international forums, conferences, and working groups as well as relevant meetings and other official settings.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership, including the CEO of IndiaAI, and other relevant stakeholders on program status, challenges, and achievements.
  • Lead and mentor a team of consultants and staff members, ensuring alignment with the overall objectives of the skilling initiative and India AI’s vision.
