NeGD is currently inviting applications for the following positions purely on Contract basis initially for 1 year which is further extendable as per the requirement of the project.

Roles & Responsibilities:

● Lead planning and execution of large-scale IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
● Translate complex business requirements and multi-step workflows into intuitive, accessible, and engaging user journeys, aligned with citizen needs and service goals.
● Manage project transition activities, including knowledge transfer, onboarding of vendors or internal teams, and handover of legacy systems.
● Prepare and maintain detailed project plans, risk registers, and status reports, ensuring transparency across all levels of the organization.
● Coordinate with technical teams, vendors, and clients to ensure timely delivery of milestones and resolution of issues.
● Monitor project scope, budget, timelines, and deliverables using industry-standard tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMI, PRINCE2).
● Conduct regular progress reviews and governance meetings with senior management and stakeholders.
● Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and quality assurance requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
● Identify and mitigate risks and dependencies, and establish contingency plans where needed.
● Govern and evolve the design system by promoting modular UI components, responsive frameworks, and consistent interaction patterns for seamless developer integration.
● Mentor junior designers by providing technical guidance, design critiques, and quality assurance to uphold visual coherence and user experience standards.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ IT/ Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university.
● MBA in Finance or related field from a recognized university is a must.

Required Skills:

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
● Proficiency in Project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana) and data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel).
● Proven experience managing government or public sector IT projects.
● Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/ Departments, both at the Central and State levels.
