NeGD is currently inviting applications for the position of QA / Test Engineer on a contractual basis for a period of one year, which may be further extended based on the requirements of the project.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts covering functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing for the NDCS platform
• Implement and manage test automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing using Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, REST Assured, JUnit, and TestNG
• Perform end-to-end system integration testing across NDCS modules and integrated maritime systems, including MSW, e-Samudra, LRIT, IWAI PANI, and PCS
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in coordination with stakeholders from DGS, IPA, and port authorities
• Perform API testing and validation for all REST APIs developed within the NDCS microservices architecture
• Conduct performance and load testing to validate system scalability, response times, and stability under expected traffic volumes
• Identify, document, track, and validate the resolution of defects using bug-tracking tools; manage the defect lifecycle through to closure
• Validate data integrity and accuracy across ETL pipelines, data warehouse, dashboards, and analytics outputs
• Participate in agile sprints and review meetings, providing quality assurance input during development iterations
• Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test reports, metrics, and sign-off documentation for each project milestone
• Support pilot testing at selected ports and contribute to national rollout validation activities
• Ensure compliance with security testing standards and coordinate with CERT-In empanelled vendors for security audits

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
