Duties & Responsibilities of IT Administrator

  • Develop and Execute Test Plans: Create comprehensive test plans and test cases based
    on project requirements, design specifications, and functional documents.
  • Perform Manual and Automated Testing: Conduct thorough manual testing of .NET
    applications and develop automated tests using tools like Selenium, NUnit, or similar.
  • Identify and Report Defects: Log and track defects in bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA,
    Azure DevOps) and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Review and Analyse System Specifications: Work closely with developers and product
    owners to understand requirements and ensure the application meets all user
    expectations and business needs.
  • Maintain and Improve Test Automation Frameworks: Enhance existing automation
    frameworks and write automated scripts to improve coverage and efficiency.
  • Perform Regression Testing: Execute regression tests to ensure that new changes do
    not negatively impact existing functionalities.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and
    project managers to ensure alignment on quality goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Suggest process improvements and best
    practices for quality assurance and software testing within the team.
  • Essential qualifications and experience

Educational Qualification

  • B. Tech / BCA/MCA or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in software testing.

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
