Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and maintain enterprise and cloud-based PostgreSQL databases to ensure high availability, scalability, performance, and security.
• Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies, including cloud DR solutions.
• Perform database tuning, capacity planning, and proactive performance optimization using both manual and AI-driven approaches.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and data teams to support schema design, query optimization, and seamless database integration.
• Plan and execute database migrations, upgrades, patching, and cloud onboarding strategies.
• Establish robust database monitoring, alerting, and reporting frameworks, leveraging AI/ML tools for predictive analytics and anomaly detection.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and governance standards for on-premise and cloud databases.
• Mentor junior DBAs and contribute to best practices, standards, and automation initiatives.
• Integrate databases with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and modern infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
