NeGD is currently inviting applications for the following positions purely on Contract basis initially for a period of 2 year which is further extendable as per the requirement of the project.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Full-Stack Development: Design and develop web applications using React.js for the frontend, Node.js for the backend, and Next.js for server-side rendering and static site generation.
• Component-Based Architecture: Build reusable components and front-end libraries to ensure a consistent and efficient user experience across the application.
• API Development: Develop and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs to enable seamless communication between the frontend and backend systems.
• Optimization: Implement performance optimization techniques for web applications, including lazy loading, code splitting, and caching strategies.
• Code Quality and Reviews: Write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and architectural guidelines.
• Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Testing and Debugging: Write unit and integration tests using testing frameworks like Jest and Cypress and perform debugging to identify and fix bugs and performance issues.
• Version Control: Use Git for version control, manage branching and merging strategies, and work in an Agile development environment.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, promoting best practices and coding standards within the team.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with a focus on full-stack web
development

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/ Departments, both at the Central and State levels.
