NeGD is currently inviting applications for the following positions purely on Contract basis initially for a period of 1 year which is further extendable as per the requirement of the project.

Roles & Responsibilities:

● Develop a comprehensive test plan outlining the testing approach, scope, objectives, and methodology.
● Validate that the AI models are accurately interpreting and applying output as expected.
● Ensure Functional and Non-Functional Testing of the tool.
● Run end-to-end test scenarios that mimic actual processes, ensuring that the tool supports the entire workflow
● Identify, document, and report bugs and discrepancies discovered during testing.
● Maintain comprehensive documentation for all test cases, test results, and defect logs.
● Work closely with developers to ensure a clear understanding of the requirements, provide early feedback on design or implementation flaws, and clarify any ambiguities in the functionality.
● After deployment, monitor the tool’s performance and gather feedback from end users. Ensure that any new bugs or issues are promptly addressed.

Qualifications:

● More than 3 years of proven software development and testing experience in IT
● More than 3 years of experience in mobile and web app functional testing
● Hands-on experience with functional testing
● Hands-on experience with automated testing using Selenium or any other language is a plus
● Proficient understanding of software QA methodologies
● Experience working in an Agile development environment using methodologies like Scrum and tools like JIRA, Confluence
● Proficient understanding of code versioning tools – Git
● Experience of working for a government set up/ project is desirable
● Knowledge of Linux, shell scripting
● Professional certifications would be a plus

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/ Departments, both at the Central and State levels.
