India AI is currently inviting applications for the position of Solution Architect – Application Development (AI) purely on Contract/ Consolidated basis.

Last date of Application: 01.06.2026

The place of posting shall be in New Delhi but transferable to project locations of IndiaAI as per existing policy of IndiaAI.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Lead the design of end-to-end AI solutions for Mission Mode Projects and sector-specific deployments under the IndiaAI Application Development Pillar, across priority domains including healthcare, agriculture, education, climate resilience, and governance.
2. Translate high-impact AI problem statements into well-defined solution architectures, High-Level Designs (HLD), Solution Requirement Specifications (SRS), technical blueprints, and deployment plans.
3. Define and drive AI solution architecture standards, principles, and best practices across the Pillar; recommend appropriate technology stacks based on programme objectives and conduct cost-benefit analysis on technology investments.
4. Create solution prototypes and proofs-of-concept (POCs) to validate architectural decisions; provision AI and AI-assisted utilities within proposed architectures.
5. Provide solution architecture leadership, guiding technical partners, domain experts, and implementation agencies through pilot design and deployment.
6. Design solution integration approaches with existing sectoral systems, national digital platforms, State government systems, and Digital Public Infrastructure components; identify system, infrastructure, and project interdependencies and integration points.
7. Review Business Requirement Specifications (BRS), validate solution performance, and enable real-world deployment.
8. Guide the selection of appropriate AI/ML models, foundation models, datasets, inferencing infrastructure, and cloud deployment configurations for each solution context; design database and application architectures and define performance parameters.
9. Provide technical inputs into Innovation Challenges, Hackathons, and RFPs, including solution requirements, evaluation criteria, and technical expectations for participating teams.
10. Support pilot deployments including solution customisation, dataset provisioning, integration, and capacity building for solution adoption; guide standardisation, replication, and scaling of successful pilots.
11. Ensure security, privacy, compliance, and ethical considerations are addressed across all AI solutions; design security, backup, disaster recovery, and storage plans and ensure alignment with DPDP Act, CERT-In guidelines, and national AI governance frameworks.
12. Support the development of the Use-Case Repositoryon AIKosh, including solution capability documentation, deployment readiness assessments, and performance benchmarking; drive utilisation of datasets, and mentor the in-house technical team on solution design best practices.
13. Prepare solution design documents, technical notes, deployment reports, and presentations; track emerging use cases and sectoral AI trends to continuously enhance the Pillar’s solution design capabilities.
