NeGD is currently inviting applications for the position of Solution Architect / DevOps Lead on a contractual basis for a period of one year, which may be further extended based on the requirements of the project.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and document the end-to-end solution for the NDCS platform, including microservices, API gateway, data flows, and cloud topology
• Define the cloud infrastructure, including networking, storage, compute, and security layers, for Government Cloud or AWS/Azure
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment of NDCS modules
• Implement containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for scalable microservices deployment
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools
• Design and enforce cloud security controls, identity and access management (IAM), encryption standards, and CERT-In compliance policies
• Integrate monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (ELK/Prometheus/Grafana) for infrastructure observability
• Optimise cloud resources for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability
• Support integration with maritime systems, including MSW, e-Samudra, ULIP, LRIT, and PCS via secure API architecture
• Lead disaster recovery planning, backup strategy, failover environments, and BCP documentation
• Mentor DevOps team members and review complex infrastructure design decisions
• Maintain Technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment workflows throughout all project phases

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/ Departments, both at the Central and State levels.
