Roles and Responsibilities of System Admin/DevOps

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Develop, implement, and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the software development process.
• Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and consistency using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health and performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk.
• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
• Implement and maintain security best practices for infrastructure and applications, including vulnerability management, access controls, and incident response.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency.
• Use configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to manage system configurations and software deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, reliability, and security.
• Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
