Tech Lead Job Summary:
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, is seeking skilled Tech Leads to architect, guide, and oversee the development of scalable, secure, and interoperable digital platforms. The role involves leading development teams, designing technical solutions aligned with modern architecture principles, and ensuring successful integration of microservices, data
systems, and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in microservices, API development, DevSecOps, and AI-driven digital ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
▪ Lead the design, development, and implementation of large-scale digital platforms based on microservices architecture
▪ Define and review technical design documents, system architecture, and integration frameworks
▪ Oversee development using Spring Boot, Node.js, FastAPI, or equivalent backend frameworks
▪ Guide teams in building secure, high-performance RESTful and GraphQL APIs
▪ Ensure adherence to coding standards, scalability practices, and performance optimization techniques
▪ Integrate services via API Gateway, Kafka, or message broker systems for asynchronous communication
▪ Work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch for structured, unstructured, and indexed data operations
▪ Oversee deployment and scaling of microservices using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS, Azure, or GCC
▪ Collaborate with DevOps teams to manage CI/CD pipelines and ensure secure code deployments
▪ Support front-end and integration teams for seamless data and API interoperability
▪ Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure system uptime and performance
▪ Ensure compliance with GIGW, WCAG 2.1, and CERT-In security standards
▪ Leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) for optimizing code review, debugging, and documentation
▪ Participate in sprint planning, peer reviews, and knowledge transfer activities

About National e-Governance Division (NeGD)
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/ Departments, both at the Central and State levels.
NeGD has been spearheading several innovative initiatives under the aegis of the Digital India Programme.
