NeGD is currently inviting applications for the following positions purely on Contract basis initially for a period of 3 years which is further extendable as per the requirement of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership & Mentorship:
o Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
o Provide technical guidance to team members and ensure that best practices are followed throughout the software development lifecycle.
o Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
o Assist with the resolution of complex technical issues, helping the team navigate challenges and obstacles.

• Architecture & Design:
o Collaborate with Solution Architects, product managers, and other stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and efficient technical solutions.
o Take ownership of technical designs, ensuring they are aligned with business goals, system requirements, and technical constraints.
o Ensure that the team is following established architecture and design patterns, while also exploring opportunities for optimization and innovation.

• Project Delivery:
o Oversee the technical execution of projects, ensuring tasks are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard of quality.
o Act as a point of escalation for technical challenges, providing solutions and coordinating with other departments to ensure successful project delivery.
o Work with the project management team to estimate timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure that the development process is well-organized and efficient.

• Collaboration & Communication:
o Serve as a key liaison between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring that requirements, constraints, and progress are clearly communicated.
o Work closely with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, operations, and product managers to ensure seamless project execution.
o Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring alignment across teams and helping to drive agile best practices.

• Continuous Improvement:
o Identify opportunities for process improvement, ensuring that the team follows agile best practices and continuously improves development workflows.
o Encourage innovation, driving the team to explore new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve product performance and scalability.
o Promote a culture of learning and development by encouraging the team to pursue new skills, technologies, and certifications.

• Quality Assurance & Testing:
o Ensure that the development team follows testing practices such as unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing.
o Help drive quality throughout the development lifecycle by ensuring the team maintains high standards of code quality and reliability.
o Collaborate with the QA team to ensure proper testing coverage and timely resolution of bugs.

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/ Departments, both at the Central and State levels.
