The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is pleased to announce the continuation of its Technical Internship Scheme, designed to provide students with meaningful exposure to real world professional environments. This initiative offers interns the opportunity to work on
live projects and collaborate with experienced industry professionals, enabling them to develop essential technical and problem-solving skills.

ELIGIBILITY FOR TECHNICAL INTERNSHIP

a. All Engineering Graduates or equivalent, with at least 75% marks in the qualifying degree.
b. All Engineering Post – Graduates or equivalent, with at least 75% marks in the qualifying degree.
c. Only the candidates who have passed their qualifying degree in last two years i.e., 2024, 2025 and final year i.e., 2026 students of current year are eligible to apply for this technical internship scheme.

TOTAL NUMBER OF INTERNS: 50

The last date for submission of the Internship Application Form is 24th December 2025.

DURATION OF TECHNICAL INTERNSHIP

a. The Technical Internship Scheme in NeGD will be conducted bi-annually i.e., – January Session and July Session.
b. The duration of Technical Internship will be fixed for six (06) months and will not be extended further.

HOW TO APPLY FOR TECHNICAL INTERNSHIP

a. Interested and eligible students must submit their applications in the prescribed application form available on the NeGD’s website.
b. These applications need to be sponsored /forwarded by the Institution where the applicant is currently enrolled in or has recently passed out.
c. The Technical Internship Programme will be an offline internship, which requires the intern to visit the organization daily to adhere to the NeGD’s working hours.

SELECTION CRITERIA FOR TECHNICAL INTERNSHIP

a. Interns will be shortlisted based on academic performance, their relevant certifications & special initiatives and will be selected for the internship through interviews by the internal selection committee as per the NeGD’s requirements.
b. Possessing minimum qualifications as mentioned above, shall not guarantee Internship opportunity in NeGD.

STIPEND & CERTIFICATE FOR TECHNICAL INTERNSHIP

a. A token stipend of Rs. 20,000/- per month would be paid to an Intern, subject to satisfactory performance, duly certified by his / her Mentor.
b. NeGD will issue certificates to intern upon the satisfactory completion of the internship (six months), subject to certification by their Mentor.
c. Regular attendance and satisfactory performance are must for the stipend & certificate.

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/ Departments, both at the Central and State levels.
