Roles & Responsibilities
1. Own the end-to-end delivery of assigned Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) under the IndiaAI Application Development Pillar — from conceptualisation, scope definition, planning, and pilot design to deployment, scaling, handover, and post-deployment monitoring.
2. Coordinate with nodal line Ministries designated as implementing agencies, State Departments, regulatory bodies, and domain experts to ensure effective project governance and execution.
3. Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource plans; maintain RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) registers; and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and blockers across project phases.
4. Provide oversight across AI delivery workstreams including data pipelines, model development, evaluation, and deployment; coordinate with Solution Architects and engineering leads to ensure technical decisions align with IndiaAI’s standards and objectives; review AI solution designs, integration points, and deployment architectures for soundness and scalability.
5. Drive pilot deployments—including solution customisation, dataset provisioning, integration with existing systems, and capacity building for solution adoption.
6. Support the transition of successful pilots into standardised, replicable solutions for scaling across States and departments through national digital platforms.
7. Support UAT and acceptance processes for AI modules — defining acceptance criteria, reviewing testing coverage, and signing off readiness.
8. Establish and run appropriate project cadences — operational reviews, management reviews, steering updates — and prepare executive dashboards, decision notes, and steering committee materials; through proper change control processes.
9. Ensure projects comply with responsible AI principles and applicable government standards including MeitY, CERT-In, DPDP Act, and STQC, alongside relevant national and international AI governance guidelines.
10. Support the Pillar’s contribution to the AIKosh platform, including the Use-Case Repository, vendor registry, try-out environments, datasets generated from pilot deployments, and public dissemination of AI solutions.
11. Coordinate project-specific procurement, vendor onboarding, and contract management in alignment with IndiaAI’s procurement and finance teams.
12. Prepare project status updates, review notes, and presentations for IndiaAI leadership; facilitate knowledge sharing, documentation, and capacity-building across project stakeholders.
13. Track project outcomes against defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); stay current on AI/ML developments and apply relevant knowledge to ongoing projects; and contribute to the institutionalisation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks under the Pillar.
