NeGD is currently inviting applications for the following positions purely on Contract basis initially for a period of 2 years which is further extendable as per the requirement of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile platforms.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and user flows based on requirements and research.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to define user needs and translate them into design solutions.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations to improve and validate designs.
• Ensure consistency in visual design, interaction patterns, and usability across applications.
• Adhere to government accessibility and UI/UX guidelines while designing.
• Present and communicate design ideas and prototypes to stakeholders effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3 to 6 years of proven experience as a UI/UX Designer.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, web accessibility standards, and user-centered design principles.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and front-end technologies (preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating past UI/UX projects

About National e-Governance Division (NeGD)

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/ Departments, both at the Central and State levels.

NeGD has been spearheading several innovative initiatives under the aegis of the Digital India Programme.
