UI/UX Lead
NeGD is currently inviting applications for the following positions purely on Contract basis initially for a period of 1 year which is further extendable as per the requirement of the project.

Role and Responsibilities:
• Lead the design strategy, user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design for web and mobile platforms
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define intuitive and user-centric design solutions.
• Conduct and oversee user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations to inform design decisions.
• Ensure adherence to accessibility (WCAG), GIGW 3.0, and design system standards across products.
• Translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive, engaging, and consistent interfaces.
• Guide and mentor a team of Jr.UI/UX designers, ensuring quality control and best practices in all design deliverables.
• Drive the adoption of design systems, reusable components, and responsive design frameworks.
• Stay current with industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the user experience.
• Creation of Social Media posts, newsletter, banners etc
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems.
• Good knowledge of creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboard, and user flows etc.
• Knowledge about style standards on fonts, colors, and images.
• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Keeping up to date with recent technological and software development landscape

About National e-Governance Division (NeGD)
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is an independent business division under the Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of e-Governance projects and initiatives undertaken by various Ministries/ Departments, both at the Central and State levels.
NeGD has been spearheading several innovative initiatives under the aegis of the Digital India Programme. Those have been developed keeping the vision areas of Digital India at the core- providing digital infrastructure as a core utility to every citizen, governance and services on demand and in particular, digital empowerment of the citizens of our country; some of these initiatives include DigiLocker, UMANG, Poshan Tracker, OpenForge Platform, API Setu, National Academic Depository, Academic Bank of Credits, Learning Management System.
