MyGov is currently inviting applications for the position of Video Editor on a contractual basis.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualise, edit and deliver high-quality short-form and long-form video content for digital and social media platforms
• Transform scripts, ideas, raw footage and creative briefs into compelling visual stories aligned with communication objectives
• Lead end-to-end post-production, including video editing, motion graphics, colour correction and grading, sound design, compositing and visual effects
• Create platform-native video content optimised for different formats, audiences and digital platforms
• Use AI-powered tools and emerging technologies to improve video production workflows, enhance creative possibilities and accelerate turnaround time
• Experiment with generative AI and other emerging video technologies for ideation, visual creation, animation, enhancement and post-production
• Develop strong visual treatments, transitions, graphics and storytelling techniques to improve the overall quality and impact of video content
• Work closely with content, research, design and creative teams to translate communication requirements into effective video narratives
• Maintain high standards of visual consistency, technical quality, accuracy and brand alignment across all video outputs
• Manage multiple video projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery in a fast-paced content environment
• Stay updated with evolving video formats, editing styles, social media trends, AI tools and developments in digital content production
• Mentor and guide junior video editors, provide creative and technical inputs, and help improve overall team capabilities
