MyGov is currently inviting applications for the position of Video Editor on a contractual basis.

Responsibilities

• Edit and produce engaging short-form and long-form video content for digital and social media platforms
• Transform scripts, ideas and raw footage into clear and visually engaging video stories
• Handle video editing, basic motion graphics, colour correction and grading, sound design and other post-production requirements
• Create platform-native video content suitable for different social media formats and audiences
• Use AI-powered tools to support editing, ideation, visual creation, enhancement and other stages of video production
• Experiment with emerging AI tools and technologies to improve the quality and efficiency of video workflows
• Work closely with content, design, research and creative teams to execute video requirements
• Create engaging transitions, graphics, text treatments and other visual elements that strengthen video storytelling
• Ensure consistency in visual quality, audio quality, formatting and overall presentation across video outputs
• Manage multiple video assignments and deliver content within defined timelines
• Stay updated with new editing styles, social media trends, video formats and developments in AI-led content production
